Welcome to Human Rights Front

HRF is a Human Rights Group ; associated by human rights defenders, people’s associations, civil society organizations, civil rights groups and issue-based forums of non-political, non-sectarian and non-governmental nature.

HRF owes its existence to the concerted efforts by a group of dedicated Human Rights Defenders having strong conviction to Human Rights standards set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The forum actively engaged in promoting the culture of human rights, advocating to secure the well being, freedom and dignity of the human being inline of the International Principles, Mechanisms and of the National Laws.

Aims of HRF: HRF as a Human Rights Chest is working for the rights of the vulnerable segments of the society.It believes to create the spirit of activism, identify core intervention and mutual beneficial complementary role brings us closer to other groups working towards a human rights friendly Society.

Introduction & History

Human Rights Protection Act

An Act to provide for the constitution of the National Human Rights Commission, State Human Rights Commissions, and related mechanisms to safeguard human rights effectively.

Achievements

Capacity Building Training

  • Imparting training to 300 PRI members on Local Self Governance
  • Training given on community leadership
  • Training to 200 Youth on community development
  • Training to 350 SHGs for Record keeping
  • Training to 150 CHW(Community Health Workers) on Mother & Child care
  • Motivational training to 30 DMT(Disaster Mitigation Team) on disaster preparedness

Issue Based Advocacy & Governance

  • Consultation on Land Rights for 100 Land Rights Activists
  • Distributing 120 Acre of Bhoodan Land to the landless
  • Providing a suitable RR package for the industrial displaced persons after Kalinga nagar incident in Orissa through a National Seminar on development project & displacement held at Bhubaneswar.
  • State level consultation on socio-economic problem of unorganized labourer
  • Policy Advocacy and Human Rights intervention for Industrial affected people in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur, Odisha
